relaunchI decided on an idea for the relaunch back in February then set about researching it, shooting photos, laying it out and building it, all the while realizing that I am my own worst client — what an old story.

The theme was based around some old film noir posters I’d been looking at like The Dark Corner and The Woman in the Window. My girlfriend generously offered to pose as the femme fatale in her fur-collared coat, and that is my profile beside her in the Sam Spade hat. In retrospect there was a lot more I could have done with it, but work has had me plenty tied up with new projects. I mainly wanted to get this off the ground before deciding on a better theme, hopefully by the end of ‘07. Up next: more code samples and solutions for the Sandbox section.

It should also be noted that the ‘07 relaunch hit the ground before time was allotted to add last-minute details. Hosting issues abound, but I plan on having more content up within a few days.
