Another French Vacation

I’m leaving for a one-week break tomorrow. Last year was Paris and Mont St. Michel, this year will be Montreal — this is what happens when your girlfriend’s a Francophile. My French is microminimal while my Spanish is actually competent, though I never get to use it. My vote for next year’s vacation: Montevideo.

Been getting lots of excellent feedback on the Mimbo theme for Wordpress released earlier this month. In September I’d like to implement a handful of new features, including:

• A horizontal navbar for flat pages (wp_list_pages)
• A widget-enabled sidebar
• An expanded three-column layout
• Stylesheet comments and a print.css document
• A .psd file of the original layout

I’d like to continue evolving concepts like Mimbo instead of releasing prefab image-based themes for Wordpress (not that there’s anything wrong with that!). Eventually Mimbo should function more like a framework than a theme. Minimal styling but maximum ease of use. So keep the upgrade suggestions coming, and please leave comments. See you in a week.
