Updates to the Magazine Theme Tutorial

The original tutorial (”In Praise of Wordpress Template Tags, Part II: The Magazine Layout“) which inspired Mimbo has been edited to reflect the upgrades to Mimbo 2.0. The tutorial now features:

  • Sample code for the “Archives” pull-down menu
  • Deeper explanation of Custom Fields
  • Instructions for editing the Author Bio section on single post pages
  • More screenshots

I’ve also installed a Related Posts plugin to help tie together some of these posts better.

    I don’t know that you need a plug-in, necessarily, you could probably just drop some code in a or that pulls the last X posts from the same category.

    Of course, I have no clue how to implement it, just picture how it might work in my head. :)
