I haven't found a perfect system yet to satisfy both existing Mimbo users and new users -- ultimately, everyone's going to be a little different. In the future I'll provide more explicit directions for people looking to upgrade. Or maybe I'll get rid of versioning altogether if it's confusing. If I started working with 2.0 and had all the images upload to '/wp-content/themes/mimbo2/images/', wouldn't I have to keep that path so I don't have to re-upload images to the /mimbo2.1/images/ directory? Or I guess in the grand scheme of Mimbo, it may not matter much since the images that it's pulling theoretically change as posts come and go, and aren't used anywhere besides the front page.
