Hello, everyone!

I have just created ugly, but working WordPress-admin plugin to make easier uploading Post Images (Lead Story, Feature image and small icons for posts), which are used in Custom Fields in Mimbo theme on “index.php” page.

I didn’t like to be forced to manually upload files using FTP and then setting all up in WP-ADMIN, sometimes I don't have FTP access to my hosting. So I have decided to create my own little plugin, which allows you to upload and view those images directly from Administration “Manage” Page.

Feel free to modify the code and use without violation of GNU/GPL.

You can download the plugin here:

http://wordpress.podsmrkem.com/mimbo_post_images-0.1.zip
————
so feel free to check it out.

Btw thanks for amazing theme, Darren :)

        background: url(wp-content/themes/mimbo2.2/images/bsbheader.gif) no-repeat;
        width: 600px;
        height: 200px;
	}

Thanks in advance!!

How do I make the "Categories" feature in the sidebar a drop down menu as opposed to the current setup of simply displaying all cats.

Thanks so much,
Sophie

Hi Darren,

I absolutely love your theme. Thanks for creating it.

I have one question. For some reason I am unable to view the site in IE, it works fine in Firefox. Can you offer any suggestions? Thanks

Problems with duplication of posts all over
Hello Mimbo people

I have installed and configured my Mimbo Theme with new headbanner etc. My blog is cultural blog about islam and culture. I'm excited about the theme but has run into some problems.

I have changed Index.php to reflect the correct ID numbers for "Lead Story", "Categories" and "Features." I even tried to call the categories it the same names as the Mimbo demo.
Still I have a big problem. Every time I post something, fx a lead story, then I tick only the relevant category (here Lead). Nevertheless, my new post appears under all the categories I have created, here: "Lead Story", "Features", "Gadgets", "Style" and "Music".

First I installed WP 2.3 and had my blog running there, but with massive duplication spam. Then I deleted my SQL database, created a new, uploaded WP 2.5., started all over and crossed my fingers. But the reuslt is the same: every time I post something in one category, it appears everywhere. In index.php I also defined that it should only display 1 post. Nevertheless it displays all posts there.

What do I do wrong? Does anyone know the solution to this problem, then I would be very gratefull.

Regards
Jesper

Hi,

Beautiful, clean and crisp design. Perfect for what I need.

I was wondering if there is any way to have the index.php display differing numbers of posts for the sections (in your site example Gadgets, Music and Style headings).

I understand that this code calls the categories to display.

      <?php query_posts("showposts=1&cat=$category")

But is there a way to have category 106 display 1 post, cat 102 - 2 posts and cat 100 - 4 posts and cat 105 display 6 posts?

I guess the other way around this would be to find a way to identify two categories and have a larger value for showposts. I'm publishing a music magazine and would like to display news, letters, whatever from one issue so the category could then be cat=102(news)+20(issue number).

If I were to take the latter approach there may be an problem in identifying which category name to print with the combined categories - there may be a way to identify the first cat as the name value. Combined categories would be my prefered option because I'd then only have to edit a couple of numbers for each update, but either approach would work.

Any assistance would be appreciated and many thanks to Darren for producing such a schmick template.

Cheers
