I'm in Missouri but if I were heading out I'd want to go back to Kristianstad (SE tip of Norway) or Stockholm. Kristianstad is a great town, easy to get around in without a car, with water and seafood and plenty of sunshine. And reliable internet service, even back in 2002 when I tracked down grandpa's relatives.

Of course, I went because of some old family roots. Another consideration would be the upcoming Euro 2008 Tourney. Both Portugal and Croatia are in. That should add to the atmosphere if you go to either of those countries!

No votes yet for Indianapolis? Hmm. Wonder why. :)

The wife and I spent our honeymoon last Sept. in the NW region of Costa Rica. That's about the extent of my international travel. (Unless you want to count evenings across the border in Canada when I was 19...)

Eugene, Oregon.

Oregon is known for it's vast array or natural beauty, from our publicly owned coast with amazing surfing and enough shipwrecks to keep an archaeologist busy for his entire life to our un-rivaled hiking areas.

Also, this summer Eugene is hosting the Olympic Track and Field trials.

Eugene has three major colleges, so there are plenty of youth, clubs, intellectual pursuits and other joys.

We also have to large rivers that are great for fishing, swimming, tubing and rafting.

Eugene is also one of the top places to ride your bike because of our more than 21 miles of dedicated bike paths.

An amazing place to spend a summer!
