I Love Newzald

Kris Sowersby, creator of the handsome Newzald font and owner of the KLIM foundry, has written my favorite tutorial in recent memory called “Newzald: From Moleskine to Market“. Sowersby’s simple, conversational writing style really brings the process to life without ever being (as he self-deprecatingly describes some of it) boring. I wish all tutorials were this thorough.

I noticed the newzald also via ilovetypgraphy. The font rocks! Be sure to check other fonts by Kris Sowersby, personally I like the ff Meta very much. Using sFIR it is possible to use the font in a website.

Good luck with the futher development of mimbo.

I love Meta Serif too and was almost going to say it was Eric Spiekermann’s project before realizing that Christian Schwartz and Kris Sowersby worked on it, too. I’ve used the roman Meta many times over the years and for some reason thought a serif version would look awkward, but it’s really beautiful.
