Comments on: Notes on the Agregado Theme

Spotted a small bug in comments.php. It has to do with the way some people configure their servers to execute PHP. From /usr/share/doc/php5-cgi/examples/php.ini-recommended on my debian server:

; – short_open_tag = Off [Portability]
; Using short tags is discouraged when developing code meant for redistribution
; since short tags may not be supported on the target server.

So if your server’s php.ini is configured as-per the recommended production settings, short_open_tag will be unset, however the version of the agregado theme that I have (1.2) uses short tags in comments.php.

Nevermind, I found a fix. I just grabbed the feed with safari from the RSS button on the top, which apparently game me a different url. Thank you for the theme.

Hey man, great theme. I just can’t get that twitter feed to work though… I believe the feed is correct:
http://twitter.com/statuses/friends_timeline/XXXXXXXXX.rss

but it just seems not to work. I deleted the cache inside the /includes directory of the theme, since some people pointed out that could solve it, however it is still not fixed.

I can see that on the demo site, you have it up and running, how can I fix that ?

Hi guys, I installed this wonderful and beautiful theme but I have a problem with the lifestream – it seems to ignore Twitter… Or is it my fault?
I put my twitter rss feed (http://twitter.com/XXX/statuses/user_timeline/XXX.rss) into the field, but it doesn’t seem to recognize it – my tweets aren’t showing up in the lifestream…
I don’t see what I did there! D:

Hey Darren,

I’m new to WordPress and blogging in general, and after exhaustively searching for themes I came across Agregado. Absolutely fantastic.

I’m just having an issue with the way my posts are displaying and was wondering if I could trouble you for some advice. Here’s one of them: http://samencel.com/2009/09/27/when-brendan-met-kevin/

For some reason the image caption and next paragraph (starting at ‘The move’) are appearing to the right of the image despite being formatting in the WP editor to start below the image, which itself is supposed to be centred.

If you’ve got any ideas I’d be greatly appreciative.
