A Forum for Mimbo

November 14, 2007 ( 22 )

I’ve been a little behind in answering emails lately, so sorry if any Mimbo questions have fallen through the cracks. For that reason, I decided to set up a forum so users of Mimbo can discuss customizations and make feature requests. I think it’s ultimately easier to keep all that discussion in one place anyway so we can all share the knowledge. Feel free to discuss other WP-theme related topics too.

Premium Wordpress Themes and Other Concerns

November 13, 2007 ( 18 )

But earlier this year, some designers had already begun selling “premium themes” themselves — WP templates with bonus features, plugins and otherwise above-average designs. Solostream was among the first to offer this kind of paid-theme product.

DarrenHoytDotCom Among the ‘Top 40 Blogs About WordPress’

November 08, 2007 ( 5 )

A belated thanks to Artur over at WP Themes Gallery for featuring this site in his ‘Top 40 Blogs About WordPress’ list — it’s cool to be featured among a lot of really excellent sites. Feedreaders and Wordpress Themes Vs. The Design Experience

October 30, 2007 ( 14 )

One of the many reasons I prefer Netvibes to other feedreaders is the amount of options — headlines, summaries, tabs, thumbnails, widgets, and audio controls for podcasts. It’s a much richer experience that what we got in the early days of RSS, which was just a few headlines. Rich Ziade from Basement.org recently saw how Google Reader could detract from the visual experience…
